Accountability

As City Commissioner, Stephanie Singer will make the office accountable to the people. Budget and hiring information will be easily available. She will continue her work to make election information available to the public, will fight to make sure voters know how the Commission is spending their money and will restore the public’s trust in Philadelphia’s government and elections.

She will ensure that payments made to staff are fully accounted for and make sure that all spending is done to aid the people of Philadelphia.

Empowering Voters

Stephanie will work with other City departments to promote voter registration and to educate voters about upcoming elections. She will work tirelessly and creatively to build a culture of voting in Philadelphia by reaching out to our wonderful Philly institutions -- our sports teams, our arts organizations, our restaurants and schools. In contrast to the current Commission, Stephanie will work
to increase access to the polls for all Philadelphians giving everyone an equal voice.

DROP

Stephanie Singer believes that elected officials should not take DROP. She will not participate in DROP if elected. However, DROP for other (not elected) government employees is another story. The Deferred Retirement Option Plan is an important part of current retirement plans for many civil servants.
